Korea shelf-price ladder

Per unit, in whichever single currency you think in. Change any number and the ladder redraws. The defaults are placeholders, not market data; put your real quotes in.

Getting it to Korea

What you invoice the importer, at your port.

Placeholder. Ask your forwarder.

Korea Customs Service tariff file, 11 Feb 2026. EU and UK FTA rows in that file end 30 Jun 2026; check the current rate and your proof of origin before using 0%.

Placeholder. Your importer will know.

Getting it to the shelf

As a share of its selling price. Placeholder.

As a share of the shelf price before VAT. Placeholder.

How the ladder is built

  1. CIF = export price + freight and insurance.
  2. Duty = CIF × duty rate. Import VAT at the border = (CIF + duty) × 10% (VAT Act art. 29(2)); the importer recovers it, so it is shown but not added.
  3. Landed cost = CIF + duty + clearance and logistics.
  4. Importer price = landed cost ÷ (1 − importer margin). Shelf ex VAT = importer price ÷ (1 − retailer margin).
  5. Shelf price = shelf ex VAT × 1.10 (VAT Act art. 30).
